Domain misuse protection (Domain Guard) protects against the following types of changes to your domain:
- Domain name owner changes
- Technical contact changes
- Domain cancellation
- Name server changes
- DNSSEC changes
The changes listed above require a request to be made before they can be executed for domain names that are protected with domain misuse protection. When a request of this kind is submitted, an E-Mail is sent to the authorized persons associated with the domain. The E-Mail will prompt these persons to approve or reject the change.
With domain misuse protection, a change is executed after 7 days if the trusted third party does not respond to the change request.
With Domain Guard Pro, all trusted third parties must agree to the change, otherwise it will not be executed.
