Hostpoint provides a free SSL certificate for each domain configured in the Hostpoint Control Panel. You can easily activate SSL support individually for every domain with just a few clicks in the Control Panel.
Log in to the Control Panel with your Hostpoint ID. Then select the "Admin" tab followed by "SSL certificates". This takes you to the certificate manager.
If you want to create a new FreeSSL certificate, select "Generate a new certificate". Then click "Set up an SSL certificate for an existing website".
With Smart Server or higher, you can now purchase SSL certificates with increased validation. For companies, we recommend the use of SSL certificates with Organization Validation (OV) or Extended Validation (EV). See also "Is FreeSSL also suitable for companies?"
Otherwise please choose "FreeSSL". It may take a moment before the certificate is displayed in the certificate manager. In some cases, checking the domain can take longer; this is displayed in the overview.
As soon as the certificate is displayed, go to “Services”, select your hosting plan there and navigate to "Websites". Under "Edit", you can assign the created certificate to the website. Under the "General" tab, you will see the option "FreeSSL"; you can activate encryption there.
