Step by Step: Cloud Office Mobility with Windows Mobile

Cloud Office Mobility enables customers to synchronize the data they previously stored in Webmail with their smartphones.

The following Windows Mobile versions are supported:

  • Windows Mobile 6.0

  • Windows Mobile 6.1

  • Windows Mobile 6.5

Backup

Please make a backup of all your local data.

Add Account

Select "Start" -> "Settings" and go to the menu "ActiveSync". In newer versions, the "Active Sync" menu is available directly as a program on the desktop.

Personal Details

Enter the following data:

E-Mail: Your personal account in Cloud Office Premium.

If you have the option "Attempt to detect Exchange Server Settings automatically", please do not use it, as a manual configuration is required.

 

Activate SSL

Specify the server as follows:

Server: office.hostpoint.ch

As the communication takes place via an encrypted connection, you will need to select the option for SSL.

 

 

Add the following data:

User name: The user name relates to the part before the @ of your e-mail address, e.g. your.name (not This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.)).

Password: Enter the password for your e-mail address here

Domain: This field merely contains the domain name, i.e. everything after @, e.g. example.com.

 

Synchronization Options

Select the data to be synchronized on your device.

Then click "Finish" to complete the installation. Once you have completed this, Windows Mobile will start the first synchronization immediately.
