On September 16, 2025, we released a new version of our browser-based e-mail and Office application “Cloud Office”. In this article, we’ll give you an overview of the most important changes.

A more modern design
Cloud Office’s user interface has been given a fresh, new look. The four new designs allow you to personalize the appearance as you wish. The themes even include two different versions of dark mode.

Use Cloud Office like an app
Cloud Office can be downloaded as a progressive web app (PWA) for quicker and more convenient access. This way, you no longer need to go to your browser to access the application – you can simply add it to your device’s home screen like an app. You can learn more about this in the dedicated Support Center article “How can I use Cloud Office as an app?”.
Optimized settings menu
The settings menu has been structured more clearly. Thanks to the new search function, you can now find the settings you want even faster than before.
Main search function
The main search function is easy to locate and allows you to use different filter options to fine-tune your search results.
Notification center
The new notification center informs you about important events such as new appointments, overdue tasks, and upcoming birthdays. You can show or hide the notification center at any time with just one click on the bell.
Kalender
We have redesigned the calendar and enhanced it with a range of new features: For example, you can mark an appointment’s participants as optional or display a countdown as a reminder.
The countdown alerts you to upcoming appointments. You can activate and configure it in the settings under “Notifications” > “Calendar” > “Show countdown.”
Unlike reminders, which are only displayed in the notification center, the countdown appears in a colorful pop-up window.
Message preview for external e-mail accounts
As before, you can add external e-mail accounts to Cloud Office. However, a new feature is that a preview of the e-mail content is displayed in the inbox of these accounts, if the e-mail provider supports this.
