What is Matomo?
Matomo (formerly known as Piwik) is a widely used web analytics tool that allows you to analyze visitor flows, user behavior and the performance of your website. The tool is an open-source solution and can be operated both in the cloud and on-premise, i.e. on a dedicated server. How does Matomo work?
Matomo stores and collects analytical data from websites and prepares them for users in the form of various reports. The data is collected via a JavaScript tracker, which must be integrated into the website. You can find out which data is collected from your visitors here.
Unlike other web analytics tools, Matomo does not use tracking cookies, so you do not need a cookie banner to receive your visitors’ consent. Matomo also does not access log files on your server.

How much does Matomo cost?
