Where do I get a transfer code for my domain?

To get a transfercode for your domain, you have to cancel the domainname with us as your registrar.

With your Hostpoint ID you can cancel the contract of your domain in the control panel («Admin» -> «Contracts») and check the option "I like to receive a transfer code for this domain". The domain will not be canceled / deleted immediately and you're still the owner of the domain until the contract runs out.

You have a Domain Shield?

If you have the Domain Shield active, you first need to cancel it immediately. You can do this in the control panel as well in the menue «Admin» -> «Contracts». Within the contract of the Domain Shield you now click on "Terminate" and on the following site you choose "Yes, I want to cancel immediately". Now you can go back to your contract-overview («Admin» -> «Contracts»), cancel the contract for your domain and check the option "I like to receive a transfer code for this domain".

By ordering the transfercode with your Hostpoint ID, the transfercode will be sent to the contact-address set up in your Hostpoint ID. The code will be attached to the confirmation of termination.

You don't have a Hostpoint ID?

You can also request the transfer code in writing with your signature. The required form can be requested from our accounting department (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.). The transfer code will be sent to the e-mail address written on the form.

Alternatively, you can also create a Hostpoint ID and request the transfer code directly in the Control Panel.

The transfer codes are sent out within a few hours during office hours. Please note that the invoice for the relevant domain must be paid before we can send the code.
