Apache handler, MIME types and error documents are additional settings for your website that are available to you when using an Apache web server.
Apache Handler
With the “Apache Handler” function, you can define how certain files are handled by your web server. If desired, you can define individual Apache Handlers for your web data. Apache handlers must be entered directly into the .htaccess file.
MIME types
The so-called “MIME types” specify how certain file extensions are handled by your web server. The MIME types must also be entered directly in the .htaccess file.
Error documents
The “Error documents” function allows you to specify how errors (e.g. Error 404, 403) that occur on your website are displayed to the visitors. This enables you, for example, to display a specially designed page for each error code.
You can configure the error documents either directly in the .htaccess file or in the Hostpoint Control Panel under “Websites” > “Web settings”.
