You can log into the Hostpoint Control Panel using both the Hostpoint ID and the hosting name. However, the two logins differ in the available functions.
Login with Hostpoint ID
Your Hostpoint ID gives you access to all your products and services as well as administrative functions (contracts, invoices, contact details, etc.) in the Hostpoint Control Panel.
Your Hostpoint ID is tied to an e-mail address and looks something like this:

Hosting login
With the hosting login, you also have access to the Hostpoint Control Panel, but only to the data of the corresponding web hosting. In addition, the hosting login is valid for access via FTP or SSH.
The hosting name is six to eight characters in length (e.g. “yourown”) and can be found in your web hosting contract.
