Would you like to save your data to avoid any loss of data? In the following sections, we explain how to do this:

E-mails

Cloud Office Mail

If you use our Cloud Office Mail, you can save e-mails as a file as follows:

  • Select the desired messages and click on “Save as file” in the menu at the top right (“Other action”).
  • The e-mails are downloaded in a ZIP archive and stored there as .eml files.

Outlook

If you use Outlook, you can export and save e-mails.

Microsoft offers specific instructions for exporting e-mails:

Apple Mail

If you use Apple Mail, you can export and save e-mails as follows:

  • Select the desired mailbox.
  • Click on “Mailbox” in the menu at the top followed by “Export mailbox”. Alternatively, right-click on the folder and select “Export mailbox” directly.
  • Then select the desired location for the export file and confirm the export by clicking “Select”. The exported mailbox is saved with the name of your mailbox in mbox format.

Thunderbird

If you use Thunderbird, you can export and save e-mails as follows:

  • Select the desired messages.
  • In the “File” menu, click “Save As” and select the “File” option.
  • Then select the desired location for the export file and confirm the selection by clicking “Open”.
  • All e-mails are now saved as individual files in the selected folder.

Calender

In Cloud Office Mail, you can export the calendar or events as follows:

  • Select the desired calendar and click on “Export” in the menu (“Task”) on the right.
  • This starts the download of a file in the format calendar.ics or export.ics.
  • This file must be saved individually for each calendar.

Contacts

You can export contacts to Cloud Office Mail as follows:

  • Select the desired address book and click on “Export” in the menu (“Task”) on the right.
  • You can now choose whether to export the address book as a vCard or as a CSV.
  • Confirm by clicking “Export”.
  • This file must be saved individually for each address book.

Hostpoint Drive

If you do not use a Hostpoint Drive client that synchronizes the data locally, you can export the data as follows:

  • Select the desired folder and click on “Download entire folder” in the menu (“Task”) on the right.
  • The folder is then downloaded and saved in a ZIP archive.
  • This action is also available for the entire “My files” or “Public files” area.
