Registration of a domain with the extension .zuerich is reserved for the following organizations:
- Companies and organizations with an entry in the commercial register (UID No.) that have their administrative center in the canton of Zurich,
- public sector bodies or organizations based in the canton of Zurich
- associations, specialist departments or similar organizations based in the canton of Zurich that are not entered in the commercial register, but which work predominantly and long term for a public sector body of the canton of Zurich (confirmation required)
Not possible are:
- registration of domains on behalf of third parties (e.g. trustee service)
- registration by private individuals or sole proprietorships that do not have an entry in the commercial register
