You can activate domain misuse protection directly in the Hostpoint Control Panel.
Domain Guard
To activate Domain Guard, Domain Shield must be activated for the domain.
- Log into the Hostpoint Control Panel with your Hostpoint ID.
- Click “Domains” on the menu at the top.
- Click on “Domain Shield” for the desired domain.
- Scroll down to the “Domain Shield – Misuse protection” section.
- Activate the function.
- Confirm the process by clicking on “Activate misuse protection”.
→ Domain misuse protection is now activated.
You can now enter the desired authorized person. Follow these steps to do so:
- Enter the name and e-mail address of your authorized person and select the language.
- Click on “Create authorized person request”.
- Confirm by ticking the checkbox and clicking “Create”.
→ The request for the authorized person is now created. The person will be contacted by e-mail and must accept the request.
Domain Guard Pro
You can order Domain Guard Pro directly from the Hostpoint Control Panel.
Follow these steps:
- Log into the Hostpoint Control Panel with your Hostpoint ID.
- Click “Domains” on the menu at the top.
- Click on “Domain Shield” for the desired domain.
- Scroll down to the “Domain Shield – Misuse protection” section.
- Click on “Upgrade to Domain Guard Pro”.
- Confirm the process by clicking on “Change product”.
→ Domain Guard Pro is now activated. You can now enter the desired authorized persons. To do so, follow the instructions under “Domain Guard” above.
