To prevent additional mail folders from appearing as subfolders of your inbox in your E-Mail program, many E-Mail programs let you set the IMAP path prefix to INBOX or INBOX. (depending on the E-Mail program, with or without a period at the end). Follow the step-by-step instructions on this topic.

Security
We recommend using SSL or TLS to encrypt your IMAP, POP and SMTP connections. This ensures that data exchanged between your E-Mail program and your mail server cannot be read by third parties. Your login details and E-Mails are therefore protected against unwanted interceptors during transmission.
You can find out how to protect your e-mail accounts with SSL in this guide.
